Jody Adams: The BMX Champion of Real Estate

13 September

Did you know our very own Jody Adams is also a BMX racer? In fact, he recently won the BMX North Carolina State Championship. We would like to congratulate him on this achievement!

Jody Adams, BMX NC State Champion

If your real estate agent isn’t also a BMX racer, are you sure you’ve got the right agent? Let us explain why these extreme cyclists make awesome real estate agents.

BMX racers are go-getters.

BMX stands for Bicycle Motocross. You read that right – bicycle. These extreme cyclists don’t rely on a motor like dirt bike racers. They vigorously pedal their way through a course full of hills, jumps, and turns. Both BMX racers and real estate agents must have a sense of passion and initiative. In real estate, agents must be willing to go the extra mile to make the dreams of their clients a reality.

BMX racers are used to a fast-paced environment.

It’s imperative for real estate agents to know how to function in a fast-paced world. Dealing with deadlines, paperwork, multiple clients, and sellers’ agents all at one time can be a daunting task. But a BMX racer is accustomed to living life in the fast lane, and your real estate agent should be, too.

BMX racers pay close attention to detail.

Anyone can get used to living in the fast lane, but only a skilled BMX racer and real estate agent will also pay attention to the details. Because of the hills, banks, and other racers, it can be very dangerous not to pay close attention to the details of the track. In real estate, neglecting the details can lead to a deal falling through and a terrible experience for a buyer or seller.

BMX racers know how to handle obstacles.

Just as these extreme cyclists encounter obstacles on the track, real estate agents also encounter many different obstacles throughout the course of a real estate transaction. A wise cyclist knows that a race is won through perseverance and intense training to be able to navigate the course. Obstacles can arise in a real estate transaction just like they do on a BMX track, and a skilled agent will know how to handle each obstacle and make it to the finish line – the closing.
